Nature Calls: Don't Spoil the Green
Be kind to the local sewers…
A record number – 250,000 – will be descending on Troon next week for the golf Open Championship. This will put a big strain on the local infrastructure, so as a proactive measure, this week, we rolled out a localised Nature Calls campaign urging residents and visitors to be kind to the local sewer system by binning wipes and only flushing the 3Ps, displayed on posters and stencils around the town and prominent signage en route to the golf course. On Friday 12th July we spoke to the public in Morrisons, Dukes Road, Troon and handed out bathroom bins, reusable wipes and gunk pots to encourage behaviour change.
